Luna CD

Luna Wings is my title song for the new CD. I was inspired by two huge Luna Moths that I encountered in the middle of the night, in the summer of 2005 with only the moon and stars above. On a beautiful New York night in the Catskills, I was approached by these two gorgeous creatures that I had never seen before. Bigger than my hand, they stayed with me for hours and let me enjoy their presence. Obviously mates, the Luna moth only eats food (prefers hickory leaves) during the caterpillar stage. After the magical metamorphosis, it emerges without any digestive system. During it’s short life as a moth, it’s sole purpose is to mate and lay eggs. They are mystical in appearance, with large, glowing lime green wings that can span up to 6 inches. They seem to light up and glow under the moon.
