River CD

This piece, being the title cut of the CD, seemed to call for something special. I asked my friend, John Mock to write a special whistle solo for this song that would match the feeling of my composition. He composed it on the spot, and simply amazed me. Also, a dear friend in Wales was kind enough to contact a local school teacher of the traditional Welch language, and sent me the phrase “Come take a drink from the river of dreams”…in Welsh. I learned this phrase phonetically, and added it to the introduction. This piece takes me to a misty river’s edge, listening to the water tripping over the rocks and stones.
